my everyday journal: botanical, geologic, archaeological and nature journal

I am incredibly lucky to live in a coastal wilderness area of Australia of immense ecological significance and of course, wild rugged beauty. I have a journal I keep with me that if full of photo's, plant specimens, observations,sketches and all else. Its part geological, archaeological, botanical and just indeed, a simple 'nature journal'. This time I used a Moleskine Cahier (Plain)  Here are some select pages.

Are we losing hope in the world? I was doing this and I despaired...it seemed what I was saying was to have hope, one must come to terms with the 'hope-less' situation. So the white page started to break into crayon blues and a bird (in my mind's eye) flew away with the (*) promise but to hide it safe so when the situation became utterly Hope-Less the (*) promise would never be destroyed. I hope I make sense...though I could laugh at myself! :-)Collage, oil crayons (smudged), mixed media..
