magpie songline (collage and watercolour) : A songline in Australian Aboriginal belief is a route through the landscape which is believed to have been travelled during the Dreamtime (or Alcheringa) and which features a series of landmarks thought to relate to events that happened during this time. The First Australians sang the maps of 1,000's of years. Australian Aboriginal People are the oldest continuous culture & civilization in the world 48,000 + yrs in Australia ...this piece was done to celebrate the birth of my Australian Aboriginal Grandson (now 13  -a proud young man of the Darrug Mob (Tribe).
